Who will be the Starting Center?
Joel/Raef/Magloire?

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
Personally i think Joel will start at center and Magloire will slowly work his way and split starts w/ Joel.

It'll probably be one of those three.
I know I'll sound like a broken record, but it's just too early to tell.

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
Joel or Magloire. I bet they will both split time fairly evenly at center, but Raef sure isn't tough enough to be our starting center.

It won't be Raef.
It might be Magloire, if only to up his trade value.

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
I believe Magliore should win the starting center spot in training camp

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
It will be our 7 pts, 6 rbd, .8 ast, monster Joel.

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
It will be Magloire. We desperately need toughness and rebounding up front. As much as I like Joel I think Magloire brings more of both.

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
It'll be Joel for his tough interior defense and ability to block shots.

Re: Who will be the Starting Center?
I think Magloire will win the job in camp. He is motivated and should be able to beat out Joel.
Raef will get minutes at the 3, 4 and 5 spots and will probably finish out games due to his outside shooting and ability to hit free throws.

I'd bet that Joel beats those numbers easily this year, even splitting time with Magloire, and again makes Nate very very happy about his center rotation.

What in the name of all that's holy makes you think that? And I want real reasons, not hunches or feelings.
Joel was playing for a contract last season and still only averaged those lousy numbers. Now that he has "security" why do you think they'll go up?

I think Joel will be our starting center at the beginning of the season, no matter how well Magloire does in training camp. The real question, imo, should not be about who is going to be our starting center, but how long does Joel keep his job as starting center.
