The same image can be interpreted differently, depending on the team's record. Lose, and they're called the Jailblazers. Win, and they're the Bad Boys.

Um....No. The Blazers were winning when they were dubbed the "jailblazers"
The late 80's early 90's detroit teams were dubbed "bad boys" because although they were a little dirty and physical they weren't breaking the law.

Does image reflect reality? I think that smaller market teams generally have a tougher go of it because those behind the camera make their money appealing to the bigger markets.
As a Blazer fan, I expect the next time the club is good it will probably have some sort of perceived blemish that will be pointed to repeatedly by the image makers. Before the Jailblazer image teams of the 90's, Clyde's era was continually implied to be a collection of low IQ Bballers. Heck I recall from those days national broadcasters openly hoping the Portland would lose and the same sort of negative slights from the national media we became frustrated with in the Sheed/Sabas/Damon times.
I suspect having the team keep it's collective nose clean while winning is only part of what will be required to be cast in a good light. It's my guess that the club will also have to have an embraceable superstar who can move product nationally.
As such I voted for just win. Mainly I just want to see good ball.
