Agree 100%. There are people who will clearly never like anything Canzano does or says. I have liked some of his columns and disliked, perhaps more of them. But this was one of his better ones. The feelings of a ref are not Canzano's concern - getting as close to the source of the news, is. And besides, in this case, I don't think a columnist could make the ref feel any worse than he does already.
