Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
Jeffries out 3-6 weeks with a broken wrist. Our scouts have been in NY.
Things could be getting interesting....
Link to the Jeffries injury here.

Re: Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
I'd like to think that NY wants Miles, but I don't see this having a huge effect. Miles is supposedly still recovering from knee problems himself, and even without Jeffries the KNicks still have Jalen Rose, Quentin Richardson and Renaldo Balkman who can play SF. I don't think they need Miles.

Bummer. I was hoping there would be a good opportunity for Miles to go away.
Sucks about Jeffries though. He can play a little, and I think the Wizards will miss him. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't match the Knicks' offer.

You never know, this could be a small sign. They were interested in Miles before, why not now.

Trust me - the Wizards will NOT miss him. He was ok on defense, but offense - I don't think he knew what a basket was! For the money he got offered in NYC, there is no way you could justify matching. Regardless of what happens, the Wiz did the right thing by cutting him loose.

Re: Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
A team like the Knicks would be stupid to trade to get another starting quality (atleast in that players mind) Small Forward. They are a team that is going to be at the bottom of the standings in the East and he's only going to be out for 3-6 weeks. Its not like its a playoff team that is losing a key player for the whole year and they need an instant replacement. The Knicks aren't going to be winning many games in the couple weeks that Jeffries is out anyways.
With that said, I would love for a trade to get Miles out of town just as much as the next person.

because they didnt have Jeffries before
and the injury wont even keep him sidelined long, he might only miss a week of the regular season... they've liked how Q. Rich has played, hes attacking the basket more instead of just shooting 3's all day
and Jalan Rose can still get it done
why do they need another 3 Guard?

Re: Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
Here is the latest..............seems to be worse than first thought.
"The prognosis for Jared Jeffries is as bad as Isiah Thomas feared, and the short-term forecast for the Knicks doesn't sound much better. Jeffries, who signed a five-year, $30 million contract in August, will be out six to eight weeks with a non-displaced left wrist fracture, the Knicks announced yesterday. A team official called Jeffries' timetable conservative, but even if the fifth-year pro returns in early December, he will miss at least one-quarter of the season." New York Daily News
"Jeffries suffered the injury to his non-shooting hand during the first half of Friday's game against the Nets but didn't have an MRI until Sunday. The following day he visited a hand specialist who informed Jeffries that while surgery would not be required, he may need two months to heal." New York Daily News

Re: Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
not at all. quit reading into every little thing that goes on, because the knicks don't want miles, nobody wants miles. all the evidence you need is in the fact that we traded just about every player on last years roster, except for miles. Jefferies is only out a short amount of time, which really won't matter because the knicks are still horrible with him in the lineup.

He was OK on defense -- but to me it always seems like "defense" and "Wizards" don't belong together or something. Maybe the Wiz will miss that, maybe not. I like Jeffries, though, and I hate to see him go from a playoff team to the sucky-wucky Knicks.

Re: Jeffries out - NY higher interest in Miles?
non-surgical healing to his non shooting hand.
Second worse team in the league.
Shouldn't be a problem or a reason to trade for another bad contract.
Don't see anything happening.
