Page 2 is a joke. Both in terms of their content and their credibility.
Putting Woods #6 in terms of jerks in the last 2.5 years (they claim it's for the new century, which presumably includes 2001, 2002 and so far in 2003) is so ridiculous that I'm speechless.

Woods isn't even a top 3 candidate for jerk ON THIS TEAM, let alone in all sports. Seems to me the guy just looked up the last Blazer to do something stupid and put him in the slot.

You all said it...the crap about Woods is a JOKE at best. Just another slap in the face of the Blazers by the media. The national media just loves to call Portland the jailblazers whenever they can. They can rip Woods but never mention Jason Kidd. Oh yeah, I forgot...he's one of the NBA's poster children. Ruben Patterson get's more negative attention for the same kind of thing that Kidd was involved in. I'm really not a big fan of Ruben as a person but I'm sick and tired of the double standard's in the NBA. Calling out Woods for his little incident is ridiculous.

I used to enjoy page 2, and "The Sports Guy" but he's really really lazy in a lot of his work. Same thing applies to the Gory Onion, and to a lesser degree, the tribune.
I mean if I, a regular Joe fan, know more about the facts (simple easy facts mind you) than the reporter, (who's JOB is dependant on facts)...well, it's not saying a lot about that dish-rag.

Top 10 dopes, maybe. Bonzi could get a nomination for spitting. Rasheed could get one for menacing. RP could get one for battery (ok, charges were dropped), but Qyntel for just being dumb? Regardless, Randy Moss' vehicular assault on the police officer certainly rates higher than speeding without a license, insurance, identification, etc. Qyntel was just being dumb, not a jerk. That doesn't mean it should be ignored, but in the top 10? How this qualifies him as one of the top 10 jerks of the new century, while the DWI's, limo driver shootings, gun possession charges and everything else that's happened makes me wonder if this writer reads the news or just his own column.

There's no point arguing the "merits" of his list.
This line:

What would the Jerkies be without a Jailblazer on the list?

clearly establishes that he's trying to play to his audience. It's what bad comedians do...can't think of anything clever or unique, so take something you figure most of your audience already believes and say that. Cheap applause or laughter, no effort required.
This isn't really meant to be a good, or thought-out list. It's just supposed to be entertainment for the masses. The masses are more non-Trailblazer fans then Trailblazers fans, so he gets more chuckles than disgust adding in a clearly worthless list item just to hit what everyone's currently brainwashed to believe.
