Re: The Miles Solution (?)
hey, get this..
Larry Coon (you know, the guy who writes the FAQ for the CBA for the *nba*) had this to say about what Canzano implied.
Quote:
Nope, nothing like that exists. Teams can petition the league
to have salary of players who RETIRED for medical reasons removed
from the cap, after a one-year waiting period.
The only other possibility is conditionally guaranteed salary, but
I see no conditional guarantees for the entire Portland team.

im a miles fan...but i gotta say...after reading the full article (i did not do so previously) i understand your stance.
i think he will play, but it wont be soon and it may not be much. I can see our GM's eyes lighting up with that 41-game loophole.
DAMMIT! we are reaaaaaally going to suck without darius.
honestly, we may have a 15 win season.

It's not just the article.
I'll say this. I... know... certain people that are privy to certain tid-bits of info in regards to the Blazers... That's where my opinion comes from.
I can't give any more details with out fear of risking my job, so I won't.
It's not set in concrete, but it sure seems like Miles might not play a minute this year.

Sounds like the only reasonable choice

Re: The Miles Solution (?)
Miles is not only playing tonight . . . he is starting.
"In a surprise move, coach Jerry Sloan announced he will start Miles at shooting guard in Wednesday's season opener, the Salt Lake Tribune reports."
