The NBA doing this...maybe (due to the huge Asian market), but the media? Not a chance. I bet you could count the number of Asians on prime time TV on two hands. Asians are the most type cast group in TV, Hollywood etc. They can never be just a character, they have to be the smart, nerdy guy, or the guy who can do kung fu. They're never just the guy. I understand that Asians do not make up a larger percentage of the US population, but can't someone cast an Asian in a non stereotypical role. Its almost as bad as Afican Americans in movies of the past.

Have to agree, and would add occasional Asian gangsters.
I think what POW came down to was two good candidates with close stats, and the voters went for the team whom they saw and the team with the better record. The fact that ZBo had a lot less help was not considered, or at least not enough.
That does not change the fact that ZBo had a dyanmite week. Keep it up.

That's not soft. That's getting dunked on. Soft would be avoiding the contact by moving out of the way.

Re: Zach denied Player-of-the-week, NBA gives it to Yao
as much as i would have loved to see Zach win the POW, Yao deserved it more. If zach keeps playing the way he has been, he's bound to win it sooner or later. go zach
