I've been temping since August, my assignment was due to end at the end of the year. I was just offered permanent. The best benefits in the Bay Area (with possible exception of Google). And not having to worry that I have to start job hunting in January

Something else to celebrate Thanksgiving, aside from Rosalind and my 20th anniversary.

It's official! The offer had to be approved by a VP. It would have been totally unprecedented for a VP to override the hiring manager, but the offer is not official until the VP signs off. They are talking of starting me there right after Thanksgiving, if my current manager will let me go by then. If not then the following week. My current manager talked to the new one about my physical needs, which technically she should not have done, but I am relieved that they extended an offer knowing I have accommodation issues. Since I have had job offers withdrawn as a result (illegal).

PBF, does this really make you happier than the Blazers, or are you angling for another goodie box?
