Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
The offense runs smoother with Outlaw or Aldridge in the game. Start either one ahead of Magloire or Joel. I think Aldridge should start not because of one game, but because he's a better fit in our system.

That's not exactly true, if it ever was. Jack and Roy are full time starters already, with not even 100 games experience between them. Webster has started 20 games in his 70 game career, and he'd be the starting SF already if he was playing better.
Who are these young players we kept on the bench in favor of washed up vets? Telfair? (He sucked, yet he started nearly half the time he wasn't hurt.) Ha? (He sucked.) Khryapa? (He started over half the games he played in as a Blazer.) Monia? (He was handed the starting gig in his first game and he blew it.) Outlaw? (He's had a couple good games, but he hasn't exactly showed that he deserves to be a starter yet.)
I'm not sure who you're referring to.

Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
I think it's too early to tell. Give him some substantial minutes on the road trip and see how he's doing. If he's putting up 10 and 8, throw him into the starting lineup. If he gets lost on defense, can't pull down rebounds or struggles on his offensive game, ease him back into it. He IS a rookie coming off surgery, after all. Don't want to throw him to the wolves or anything.

Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
I said its too early he has only played one game, so instead of mags starting it should be zbo playing center outlaw at the 4

He's probably talking about Jermaine, Bonzi, and ZBo.

Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
I say yes. I know it was only one game, and I'm not basing it off of that. I don't want Outlaw starting because right now he knows his role and is playing great. He can get 30 minutes off the bench easily and he's been our 6th man with Dixon.
When we are all healthy it should be a pretty good team:
C-Aldridge
PF-Zach
SF-Martell
SG-Roy
PG-Jack
This is just a bunch of ifs, but if LaMarcus continues the play from that game, do you start him even when Przybilla comes back? That's my question to you guys.

I can't see much damage we're doing to Roy by allowing him to start. Hell, he started the first game of the season in his rookie year. At least Aldrige came off the bench his first game.

The point is that one game is not enough to say he's the best.

OTOH, the other options are hurt (Joel), stinking it up (JMag), and showing no signs of a pulse (LaFrentz). If LaMarcus *isn't* good enough to play under these circumstances he won't have much of a career!

Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
Nate should start LA and see if we have a better flow at the beginning of games. The bench has been doing pretty well why mess with it.

Re: Should Aldridge Start @ 5 (until Joel returns)
Too early to tell.
He makes the bench even stronger now when Outlaw, Dixon and even Graham (I actually like the guy, he's a little underrated) come in.
One thing, though, is that he plays off Zach really well it seemed like. Those two are great offensive rebounders and have a knack for getting the ball.
I remember some people were saying Aldridge couldn't play the 5 at all. Looks like he can now.
