OT: Theo

From Yahoo -

"Nov 11 Ratliff was inactive for Boston's 94-93 loss to Cleveland on Saturday because of a bulging disc, the fourth game the center has missed this season. He missed the first three games before returning to the starting lineup and scoring a combined five points in two games.

Advice: Ratliff could sit out several games this season, depending on how his back feels. He has seven rebounds and three blocks in those two games."

How did he stay healthy for 6 months so as to fool Nash and get that contract?

Re: OT: Theo

Funny how hard and how willing a player will play in a contract year. Then take that money and run.

He played two seasons straight with only missing one game before he was re-signed. At one point, he was actually known for having a great workout ethic and tough regimen, but by the time Portland traded him they were saying he would not keep up with the rehab and training assignments given by the time, to such an extent that they publicly fined him for it. He is a prime example of a guy who kept it together right up until signing that contract, then he let it go.
