Juan to start tonight against Celtics
According to Mike Barrett’s Blog, Juan Dixon is expected to start tonight against the Boston Celtics. I think this is a great move by Nate McMillan to get the offensive going early in the game. We’ve had a lot of problems so far and this may help. It gives us another scoring threat to keep pressure off of Zach. Let’s see how Juan plays tonight.
By the way, the all-star ballots are out. Zach, Juan, and Jamaal are on the list, check it out at: http://www.nba.com/webAction?actionI...&surveyId=1251

Re: Juan to start tonight against Celtics
I do think this is a good move, not because I like Juan on Juan Dixon, but because Webster/Roy are not healthy enough to make a postiive contribution to the team at this point in time. After last game I had no doubts Websters back is still bothering him, and who knows how long Roy will be in boot.

I sure hope Martell's back and Roy's foot heal soon.

I just hope that LA, Dixon, and Z-bo are concistant in scoring and hopefully Outlaw will be relentless.

Re: Juan to start tonight against Celtics
I like this move as well, and not just because our other options at SG are non-viable. Juan is a horrible defender, so it seems intuitive that we would not want to start him against a team whose best offensive threat is at starting SG, like Boston, LAL, MIA, SEA, etc.
But if we play it right, we can use that to our advantage. Juan is fairly quick, and if you make him a focal point of the offense, bouncing him off of screens left and right, it can result in the other team's primary offensive threat either tiring himself out chasing Juan around or slacking off and letting Juan score. Nate has used this strategy against the Lakers with great results. If we force Paul Pierce to fight through screen after screen, good things may happen.

Re: Juan to start tonight against Celtics
Although I am not a big Dixon fan, I think this is a pretty good move until Roy returns. Both Jack and Ime are petty good defenders so they should be able to hide Dixons weaknesses on defense.
More important then Dixon is getting Magloire out of the starting lineup/. Aldridge might not be ready to start yet, but Magloire is the worst option on the team.
The starting lineup I would most like to see before Roy and Big Balls returns is:
PG: Jack
SG: Dixon
SF: Outlaw
PF: Randolph
C: Aldridge.
So the only difference between that and what Nate is putting out is Ime instead of Outlaw which I don't see as that out of line.
Still, Once the injured return, this team will be able to do so much more.
