guys, seriously..
quit jumping on and off the bandwagon after every damn game, will yah?
one minute, travis is great and should be the starter.. the next, you throw him under the bus. Same with Martel.
Who honestly thought this team would have 4 wins 10 games into the season?
HONESTLY thought that, and not "I'm a huge flaming homer" thinking either? the team IS missing our only decent SG, and only decent C (let's not kid ourselves and anoint LaMarcus anything just yet, ok?).
Do we really need 2 different posts proclaiming they were "tired" of losing or that the team needs a change of direction?
the team needs less injured players, thats what it needs.
Good god, ankles are breaking left and right here.

Re: guys, seriously..
I know we'll be MUCH better when Roy and Joel return. Portland has actually done well to stay so close in many games, but in this game, they have just given up.
Don't expect to win anymore games though until those two come back.

Re: guys, seriously..
If I was jumping off the bandwagon, do you really think I'd be on this message board on a Friday night being upset about losing by 30? No - I'd probably be out doing something not caring about a result 10 games into the season.
Don't confuse bandwagon jumping with being extremely passionate about this team. I'll support this team until I die. Which is exactly why I'm pissed when I don't see the same level of commitment from the guys who are getting paid to produce. This is the NBA. Injuries or not, you shouldn't get blown out three games in a row.

And a 30-point loss to Boston (of all teams!) is totally unforgiveable. For the first time this season, I thought the Blazers quit. I hate to see that. Really, really hate it. I thought our new identity was a team of scrappers who never give up, but tonight we gave up and it was ugly.

I hear ya, Hap.
Right now, this just isn't a good team. We're plagued with injuries, have a limited amount of big men, and are still young and inexperienced.
Let's not get too crazy because we started out on a great note. We need to remember that we're still an up and coming team and there are still going to be stretches when we're not playing good basketball.

Re: guys, seriously..
But that is what most of us do.
From screaming for a choir boy team that we insist we'll still root and show up for even when they're losing, to demanding that something change when said team doesn't win and people stop showing up. To proclaiming someone as the next superstar when they have a good game then proclaiming them worse than the last person on the bench on the wost NBDL team.
There will still be growing pains. Every franchise has to go through them. Some for much longer than we have. All we can do as fans is stick to our word and support them even though they are losing, because besides two of them.. they all are good guys off the court.
And in regards to a few people perhaps thinking the team quit tonight, I don't think they did. I think they realized that they're already tired, and they have a game in under twenty four hours (their fourth in five nights) against an up and down team that will again abuse the backcourt in Kidd and Carter. They were down twenty plus with over eight minutes to go, and this team does not have the fire power that the Cleveland team did to come back down from that against a red-hot Boston team.

Re: guys, seriously..
No, quitting would have been not even trying for good shots or rebounds. But hey, if you wanna rag on a team that has fought back all year.. go ahead. I think we're all forgetting that most people predicted this team, with their incredible lack of experience, to finish last.. they had a great start. And the fact that this team has fought back in every game, despite being short handed and so inexperienced is a testament to their heart and desire.

Re: guys, seriously..
has the statute of limitations died on the "fans said they'd cheer for choir boys" **** finally ended?
because that was a media (and "trader bob" fans) created hog-wash. Fans didn't want 'choir boys', they wanted players who weren't ****ing knobs.

Perhaps choir boy was too harsh, and it was rather cliche. My main point was for the people that say the team hasn't chan | |
