At least we have some light at the end of the tunnel (Take Two)

After last night, it makes me yearn for the days when Magloire and Dixon are gone. More minutes for Sergio, Aldridge, and Webster.
I wonder if Allen's decision making regarding a trade will be at all affected by the play of his youthful core last night? Notice he was in attendance last night...

Another couple things I liked in the box score of last nights' game:
Jack- 11 assists
Webster- 7 rebounds
Randolph- 2 steals

I think you'll see more of these threads as the year goes on. Roy, Aldridge, Jack and Martell seem to be very easy to root for for most people. They hustle, try to play both ends of the floor, and are "underdogs" because of their age. There is a huge light at the end of the tunnel IMO......Turn em lose Nate

MM,
I remember saying you were in Sugar Land? Is that your kids schools that are shut down?

Light coming from the end of the tunnel?? Yes, it is!!
Roy, Webster, Jack and Aldridge all in double figures scoring last night. All making an impact for limited minutes. Signs of things to come!!!
Seems like deja-vu from about 1986ish. Young Porter, experienced Clyde, raw Kersey and Duck.
Great news Blazers fans: We're going to have another top 10 pick this summer too!

Thanks for caring, but no. It was well north of me. Think Powell to the Columbia River. Just another thing to mess up traffic. I do believe it's cleared by now however, so that's good.

I agree that the future is bright- we have potential future studs at every position- it's just a matter of patience. Jack and Sergio will develop into a terrific combination at the 1. Brandon Roy has the 2 locked down. Maybe Webster or Outlaw will emerge at the 3. Zach has the 4 down pat and Aldridge looks to be a good 5.
We just have to relax and enjoy the ride!

The only one I disagree with is Zach. He's still way too pathetic on defense, and for whatever reason seems to think scoring and rebounding are all that matter.

Re: At least we have some light at the end of the tunnel (Take Two)
When are we going to see a SL of Jack,Roy,Martell,Zach,LMA? Also if LMA keeps up his minutes he will psot some very solid rookie year stats and as Roy continues to improve and becomes more game tested after the surgery his numbers are going to skyrise and run away with the ROY.

I see Zach as kind of a poor man's Barkley. A very valuable piece, but you need defenders around him.
I think he's better at trying to defend this year...

Maybe a welfare version of Barkley. Barkely was a great leader, and a hall of famer. He was also willing to step in front of offensive players and at least try to take a charge. Zach's idea of defense is hoping someone else gets a foul so he can stay in the game to put up his numbers.
But like I said, everything else is right on. We have an amazing core of players that given time will compete for the championship sooner rather than later.

So... now your throwing the word "welfare" out there on threads in regards to Zach Randolph, huh?
Bigot. Bigot. Bigot.
I also knew mediocre man wasn't going to allow this topic to exist unmolested. MM can not allow good thoughts and hope about the Blazers to exist. He had to toss another grenade on another thread where good things about the Blazers were being discussed.
