This is from the Milwaukee newspapers
pre-game report on last nights game:
In Portland, Roy is being hyped as the leading candidate for rookie of the year. He leads all rookies in scoring (13.7), is sixth in rebounding (4.0) and is second in assists (3.0) to teammate Sergio Rodriguez (3.3). Roy and coach Nate McMillan have arranged a deal in which Roy will tell McMillan if he thinks he can score against the defender who is guarding him. McMillan will then run more plays for him.
So Roy and Micmillan have an agreement hrm? He tests the waters and if he thinks he can score they run and gun for him? I've not heard of this nifty tidbit. But I would think that for any of a teams top players that if they have an advantage, the coach would see it and run more plays to take advantage.
