Re: Zach's future with the Blazers?
It's hard to say what the going rate for Zach Randolph is right now. It's probably a lot higher than we think. Not too many players have averaged 20-10 for two seasons in their career.
It all depends on management's conception of Zach Randolph. Has his value peaked? Could he improve his passing?
The biggest question, though, is can he handle being the second option? Because with Roy as the first option, aggressively attacking the basket and dishing to the post at the appropriate time, Randolph could become a lot more dangerous.
Then again, he represents the J*********s, and I'm sure management would love to eliminate the last remnant of that era. And, his defense is quite suspect.
I say this offseason at the earliest, and the next trading deadline at the latest.
