Because Augmon was... of course, Pippen and Artest weren't, so I don't know where that leaves your criticism of the comparison.

Players don't have to be EXACTLY the same to be compared. Augmon and Brewer are both game-changers defensively with significant questions about their offensive games.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but the only interpretation that can be made is that you think Augmon is a beter offensive player than Artest and Pippen. No, players don't have to be exactly the same to be compared, but when there are players that are obviously closer in skillset, why would you compare him to someone else. Just because NBADraft.net makes the comparison doesn't mean they're right.

My point is that you claim that Brewer's a better offensive player than Augmon, so it's a bad comparison. You ALSO claim that Artest and Pippen are better comparisons.

But Augmon was a superior offensive player to those two in college and in their early NBA careers.

So your criteria for comparisons are messed up.

Re: Noah Vs Brewer

I don't understand the Pippen comparison, other than build and defense. Pippen was one of the best ball handlers at SF of all time, and that's Brewer's weakness.

he kind of reminds me of Tayshaun Prince. thin, long, not a brilliant ball handler, nice defender. not a superstar, but a guy every team in the league would be happy to start.

I could definitely live with drafting Brewer. he and Aldridge would create a wall of arms at the forward positions. Sheed/Prince = Aldridge/Brewer?

Re: Noah Vs Brewer

Noah is a tailor made camera hog but in the NBA with his lightweight frame and few moves he will be a long time on the bench of the team who is unwise enough to pick him, and likely a malcontent as well, all attitude no serious skill. Brewer will be a contributer on any team that is lucky enough to draft him, a great piece with long arms, a good defender and a fair outside shot; shaky ball control and needs to add mussel but the core of a solid player. Noah has the skills to be a great roadshow clown.
