Cracks me up
The Blazers win the #1 pick and what constitutes the majority of the discussion on the board? What SF we should draft with additional, yet unobtained, draft pick.
In other years we'd be having this sort of discussion about who we should select with our own pick, now the discussion is about who we should pick if we end up with another lottery pick.
Its a great time to be a Blazer fan.

Re: Cracks me up
This is what happens when the choice is seemingly obvious. Someone on another board stated that if our players develop like we think they will, these boards are going to become really boring. What do you talk about if nothing is broken?

Well if the Blazers get to where they are busting the rest of the league up by 40 points a night, then I will talk about how I made it through the rough times and it is all gravy now. That and argue with Ed O about anything he says.

Re: Cracks me up
When the Oakland A's won their record-setting 20 consecutive games, we found something to talk about on the A's board.
"A's won again?"
"Yes"
"No news then"
I mean, wouldn't you LOVE to be that bored on the board?

Re: Cracks me up
I guess once the Blazers become the success we all hope and envision, we can talk about mundane things such as:
'Ya know, Sergio just may be better than Nash'
'Has anyone ever averaged double-digit blocks for a season?'
'You see Martell drain that three from eight feet beyond the line with the shot clock expiring?'
With a special nod to MM:
'We lost AGAIN last night, that makes our record 43-4. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need to fire Nate!'

Re: Cracks me up
We can start talking about how the blazers rank with the teams of all time, how long they'll be able to compete, how they can become the first 4peat champs since Celtics of the 60s(9 team league).
Who would win, Oden vs the entire eastern conference? Who'd win "a little" Oden vs Sonics? Who'd win Oden vs a hurricane, but wait, the hurricane is named Oden?
Ohhh boy there will be plenty ta talk about.

Re: Cracks me up
With all the potential extra fans this year, the predictions game could get much bigger.
I wonder if Oden will sign with Adidas - then perhaps we could get an autographed Oden something as a grand prize next year (assuming they sponsor us again).

Re: Cracks me up
Holy crap, it's gonna get strange around here.
Don't want to put the cart before the horse, but I'm still trying to image how its going to feel to not have to gripe about losses, player behavior, officiating, and coaching goofs all the time (good players can cover up a lot of coaching goofs)...
Very much looking forward to becoming a spoiled Blazers fan.

Oh start a thread talking about what to talk about. Nevermind, done.
I look forward to the day when we talk about how easy the Spurs were last night.
