probably been mentioned before but here ya go...

42 of the last 61 championship teams have had a dominating center. I like those odds!

I think it is even higher if you count Parish/McHale as centers that dominated the paint.
Jordan had Pippen who arguably was the best SF,ever.Jordan was the exception to the rule. He was the best player ever. You take him off the Bulls and Pippen took the Bulls to the brink of the finals with a far less superior players in the though east at the time.
I am getting sick to my stomach just thinking Pritchard will pick Durant.

Oden. Bigs like him don't come along *that* often.

BTW, got the brand-new ESPN Mag today ... they put out two covers this time, one featuring Oden, one featuring Durant. I got the Oden one so maybe that's some kind of omen.

I haven't had time to look over the article yet though.

Agreed. But, no vote for me. Too many Oden/Durant polls and in KP I trust.

Re: All things considered, we need a vote.

Guys, I know I am in the minority here considering the 64 to 8 vote in favor of Oden but we have to pick Kevin Durant. This kid is truly something special. I also feel that Greg Oden won't live up to the hype, sure he will be good but he won't be a superstar like Duncan, Bill Russell, Shaq, Ewing. I think Kevin will shock all of us and pick the another kid from the University of Texas like he did last year. Remember Texas lately has produced some good ones, look at Daniel Gibson.

Re: All things considered, we need a vote.

I voted Oden..

Now ask me who I think they will draft?

I thnk they will draft Oden, then trade him to SEA to get enough to pull off getting the #3 pick and take another dominent big man to play PF while moving LMA to C

I see trading Oden as a way of upgradig the team talent beyond the abilities of adding just Durant by taking him #1. We get bonuses

That said, this might've been a more interesting poll if there'd been more options such as "still undecided" or "I'll trust HQ" or perhaps even Trader Ed's "pick Oden and then trade him."

That said, I'm not suggesting we create yet another poll on this.

Re: All things considered, we need a vote.

I think it would be great if they said, "After more than a month of deliberation on the Oden/Durant debate we have come to determine that both players are of equivalent value. Having either will help the team just as much as the other. Therefore, we decided to defer to you, the fans."

Of course, I think it would be great because I want Oden... And probably not very responsible.

Re: All things considered, we need a vote.

After reading the interview with Allen, it's obvious KP is thinking 100% Durant, has all along, and the whole keep an open mind thing was BS.

Prepare to be ridiculed by the media again.
