We need a legit 3rd scorer on this team that can get to the foul line. Corey Maggette would be a perfect fit.

How about Rudy Fernandez?

I'm starting to think we need a legit 1st scorer. We have some guys that can on occasion but no-one who really seems to take charge and say "It's my team and I'm going to carry them".
I'd expected that of Roy but he seems to passive to be that take-charge guy. LMA is too inconsistent and I don't see anyone else who can step up as a consistent #1 guy.
Oh well, we're young and hopefully that will come but I expect that to be manifest early on and improve as the season progresses.
Gramps...

He's far from a proven NBA scorer. This team is still overloaded with inconsistant players. We just got punked by another bottom feeding team without much end in sight.

Re: Blazers @ Bobcats game
What stupid decisions by Nate tonight!
-Keeping Outlaw in the game when the Bobcats started making a run.
-Taking out Aldridge when he had 5 fouls, but we were down nine.
-Replacing Webster with Blake when Martell remained the most aggressive player on the floor.
-Playing Joel 13 freaking minutes, and almost none in the fourth quarter.
Seriously, this guy has no clue what he's doing.

Re: Blazers @ Bobcats game
i think that aldridge was part of the cause of our collapse towards the end. he was playing with 4 fouls and played very hesitantly on offense, defense and grabbing rebounds.

Re: Blazers @ Bobcats game
i am starting to question nate a whole lot. Why doesn't Joel get more minutes and why don't we post up LMA more often? This team is soooo difficult to watch on the road right now.

The 4th quarter was a layup drill and Joel was on the bench! Nate should give half his salary to Ray Allen who made him look like a great coach a few years back.

Re: Blazers @ Bobcats game
You guys are so funny. Its about experience this season. Nate wants these young dudes in at the end of a game because they're SOOOOO young. Nate wants these guys seasoned so that when Oden (and Rudy) comes back next year we take the league by storm. Chill out guys--no one was expecting the blazers to win a championship this year. We ARE the youngest team in the NBA.

Oh I see, that explanation makes the disaster I just witnessed make complete sense! Awesome, I guess we're right on track!

I'd have to agree w/that. I mean, we're not going to win it all this year, might as well put the guys in the fire now!

They are getting lots of experience. Experience getting their asses kicked is the problem.
We aren't showing team growth and you seem to forget young player like Outlaw have been in the league since 2003!

Re: Blazers @ Bobcats game
Okafor was held to 12, and none of their other bigs exactly lit it up.
Wallace/Richardson/Felton were "held" to 75 points! Putting Joel in the game won't solve the problem. Getting Oden back won't solve the problem. Our perimeter players have to stop channeling Damon!
