Calderon a Blazer?
I know this has been tossed around in here for a while but there is a piece on the Trailblazer blog about it.
What do you guys think of trying to make a play for him this summer.
Also there is a funny poll about who will be back first Greg or Darius.

Re: Calderon a Blazer?
Now that's an interesting idea, probably a lot more feasible than Chris Paul or D-Will. I like Calderon's game a lot but haven't watched him that carefully. Can he play any D? How old is he?

they're not stupid... Colangelo isn't going to let him walk for nothing, and it's a pipe dream if you think they'd accept a jack/miles type of package.

I believe Calderon is 25 or 26. He has a lot of expierence from international ball as well.

They might accept a Jack/Webster type deal, or even add a pick. Plus, if he is unrestricted, they risk him leaving for nothing if they can't work a S&T.
I like the idea of Calderon, but his defense is lacking. If they lose him for salary reasons, they will need another bu PG and we have 4 of those to offer, along with one of our three SF's, all on good pay scales. They are set at PF and seem to think that Bargs is going to be their center, they have a great starting PG, but they need to upgrade their wing positions and get a solid PG in return. We can help that happen.

Re: Calderon a Blazer?
That is a tough call. I would do a Jack\Outlaw\Pick for him. I wouldn't want to give up Webster though.
The only thing, would bringing him over make Roy play less PG? It is looking like Roy is the PG of this team.
Although I wouldn't mind a starting 5 of...
Colderon
Roy
Webster
LMA
Oden

Re: Calderon a Blazer?
I'm happy with Blake over Calderon. Blake plays D and can hit the open shot, which is what our PG needs to do since Brandon has the ball mostly.
I wouldn't trade Outlaw and a pick for him that's for sure, seems a bit steep.

Sure I watched yesterday's game. I even got him on my fantasy team, and I think he's a good young player, but not enough to be trading Outlaw and a pick for.

Are you crazy? Outlaw is twice as valuable as Calderon.
