OT: Emerald Bowl game
I guess OSU thinks this is the start of another season, as they're playing like they do in September.

He was being kind. Thats not even a pass you'd make in flag football.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
At least they tied it up by halftime.
Maryland is looking pretty dang good. It doesn't hurt that there's been a ton of turnovers.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
We're lucky to be tied at halftime. We can't play much worse than we did in the first half (knock on wood).

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
I think we have a small disadvantage with QBs falling apart.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
This game has to be one of the most frustrating, tense-due-to-turnover-or-bonehead-play game that I've listened to in awhile.

Just like the Ducks. Although now the Beavers are back to their original starter in Canfield at the beginning of the season hehe.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
Whew...won that one just in time. Now back to the Blazers...
Whoever scheduled these at the same time sucks.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
Oregon State has started a pretty good post season bowl birth trend besides two seasons lately.
Oregon State (8-5) 13 Pittsburgh (9-4) 38 "Insight Bowl" December 26, 2002
Oregon State (8-5) 55 U. of New Mexico (8-5) 14 "Las Vegas Bowl" December 24, 2003
Oregon State (7-5) 38, Notre Dame(6-6) 21 "Insight Bowl" December 28,2004
No 2004-05 postseason bowl.
Oregon State (10-4) 39, Missouri (8-5) 38 "Sun Bowl"December 29, 2006
Oregon State (9-4) 21 Maryland (6-7) 14 "Emerald Bowl 28,2007.
Oregon State has made some good improvements for the OSU program in the last 5 years.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
I'd really like to see OSU play better bowl matchups. I think their "Bowl win streak" gets a little too much love from the media. The only 2 legitimately good teams they have faced were Pitt in 02 and Mizzou last year, and they are 1-1..but that's better than my Ducks have done so, what can you do?

Uhhh..not really sure what the team is supposed to do about bowl match-ups. We got passed over this year even though we had a higher ranking. I think most Beav fans would like to see better match-ups as well.

Re: OT: Emerald Bowl game
The team is "supposed" to do better in the regular season to obtain the better bowl game..that's the only way to play in a better bowl game. Yes the Sun Bowl passed you over, but many of your fans didnt want to go back and bowl games don't like having the same team back to back. OSU SF would've been a helluva dog fight too.
