Wrong. I'm not insulted by your opinion--I'm upset that you attacked someone else for his.

Wow... argue about something worth arguing about!!!
And for the record, I am not at all religious. I just said that because it is the PC thing to say.

Get real. Nobody was being impolite until you started with the "delusional" nonsense.

saying "they're in a better place now" in a secular public setting about a total stranger is absolutely impolite. if someone doesn't want to be called delusional they should keep their personal religious sentiments to themself on a basketball board. otherwise they deserve whatever response they get.

OR.... some people could just toughen up a bit, and stop whinning when somebody else says something they believe in. Next thing I know, you're going to start throwing the race card.

I thought the general idea was that folks went either to a better place or a much worse place when they died? Since we don't even know who it was that died it seems pretty strange to assume they were headed up rather than down, even if you do assume that those other places exist.

yup. i believe anyone who says they are sure there is an afterlife is delusional and stating such in a secular public forum about a random deceased person is rude and potentially harmful. stop whining about it.
