Go back a few years and you can find VITRIOLIC things written about Fisher (I remember somebody calling him either the "un-guard" or the "anti-guard" and posting relentlessly about how he should be traded for less than nothing) by Lakers fans. Now he's a "calming veteran presence" for the Jazz last year and this year for the Lakers. He works fine as a third guard, and he's well-liked, and probably a big part of the unity of this team, so he should be forgiven some of his trespasses.
(For what it's worth: I was in Atlanta in Summer 2005 when Jack was deciding whether or not to pull out of the draft and it was practically front-page news in the Atlanta papers - he was MUCH loved at Georgia Tech.)

I actually think someday that Jarrett jack will be a really good coach. It's like they always say, those that can't do teach.
Seriously though, I do think he'll be a fine coach someday.

Re: Can we trade for THIS guy?
Record with Jarrett Jack as the starter: 1-6
Record with Jarrett Jack coming off the bench: 27-16
Just leave him on the bench.

I think I am starting to like Jack again. He has game. He just needs to learn to turn the ball over less. That comes with experience and age. I think we should keep him.

Maybe Jack would be better suited in the UFA instead of the NBA

Re: Can we trade for THIS guy?
Why would any team want to trade for the worst ball handler in the entire NBA?

Re: Can we trade for THIS guy?
I say keep him. I remember how much we liked him at the end of his rookie year.
So he has turned the ball over a little, wait till he learns to NOT turn it over, and he will be a fantastic player.
He has all the skill. Now he needs to learn to handle the ball better.

So he has turned the ball over a little

Saying he's turned the ball over as big of an untruth as saying there were WMD in Iraq. Jack hasn't turned the ball over a little, he leads the freaking league in turnovers despite having his playing time limited by coming of the bench.

Where is this skill then? I see him recklessly driving to the hoop like he thinks he's AI, only Jack can't finish because he's one of the worst finishers around the basket in the NBA.
Jack simply isn't good at what he tries to do. His best role is at backup SG. If he's content to stay there (unlikely) he has a role on this team (until next year when he'd be the 3rd stringer).

He leads the league in turnovers for NON starters. Not including starters.
