I think if the Blazers wanted to they could swing a deal for him. Indy needs to almost start over and get some expireing contracts.

There is no freaking way I'd trade LaMarcus Aldridge for Jermaine O'Neal. LaMarcus will be the perfect compliment to Greg Oden's rugged inside game. O'Neal is too injury prone, too much of a prima-dona, and LaMarcus will be a better player to boot. Now, if we could get Jermaine for cheap, and if he would be content to be the 3rd wheel in a 3-man rotation, that would be sweet. But his history (demanding a trade from the Blazers because he was behind Sheed) says he would not.

if we for a second hinted that LA was available even in a package with raef or miles we'd be flooded with offers that were a lot better than JO lol. LA is highly coveted around the league by running teams lacking mobile bigs like chicago or GS. i'm sure the suns would be absolutely drooling if he were on the market. if you're gonna trade LA + salary think more along the lines of deng/nocioni, ellis/beidrins etc. or better yet lets just keep him, since he's one of the top 10 young players in the entire league.

Something like that. But at the same time, there is something in my gut telling me that Pritchard might rather have Frye. He seems to be pretty particular about what kinds of ingredients go into his 'cake.'

Jermaine sucks now, don't trade anyone for him. Keep building what you are building. With the recent trades, the Mavs and Suns window will be closing awfully fast. In a few years, the Blazers will be a superpower in the West and be worth hating again.
