Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
Are you serious? We are the team of the future..no need to mortgage that to get a 35 year old, nearly broken down point guard...please teams of the west..keep adding old veterans, while our average age is 24 HAHA

Let's see...
Barea
Bass
Dampier
Fazekas
Hassell
Howard, Jo.
Howard, Ju.
Jones
Nowitski
Terry
That's 10, but Dampier looks out, and Josh Howard looks out. That'd be 8. They still have Dirk though, but if they only can play eight, the Blazers need to take advantage!

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
I'd double Dirk all night long...I want to see if Travis can do as good of a job on him as well. He was splendid in the November matchup, easily holding Dirk well below his average.

I think he meant getting Devin Harris, which I would have loved.

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
Honestly, if we can't beat Dallas with 8 guys and no inside presence (Damp hurt and Diop gone)...I may have to go buy that Valentines champaign a little early tonight.

yea, but the price tag was too steep. I think we can do better in the offseason, where there will be more players available.

What the crap are you talking about? The trade would have sent Devin Harris to Portland for our scrubs. Not Jason Kidd.

Everything you said is wrong.
Three backups and one pick for one star starter and two backups is too steep? You're nuts and know nothing about trades in the NBA. The best trades ALWAYS happen in during the season. It's when teams are desperate AS IF THAT WASN'T OBVIOUS ENOUGH I HAVE TO POINT THIS OUT TO YOU?!?!?!
The Blazers won't make a good trade this offseason, they won't even come close to getting that kind of talent and they'll likely have to give up players for nothing in return now BECAUSE THE BLAZERS CANNOT POSSIBLY KEEP ALL THESE PLAYERS. THAT IS A FACT.
So instead trading a bunch of useless players for one star pg Portland will be forced to trade the players away for nothing just like they did with Zach.
Pritchard the Zach trade was pretty poor, but understandable. Missing out on this could be called incompetent.
SCREW YOU KEVIN PRITCHARD!!!!
Pritchard has made one good roster move since taking the job (Roy trade) everything else he's done has been poor or PURE LUCK.
**** YOU PRITCHARD. DO YOUR ****ING JOB!

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
Man this is a crazy trading time . .. Lakers get Gasol, Suns get Shaq and Mavs get Kidd.
Danm . . . why even have an eastern conference . . . it's all about the western conference these days.
You know who must be feeling left out is San Antonio. Artest in silver and black?
