What sane person would be acting the way you're acting right now?
I'll give you your props though, you must've set a record for most replies in a 5-minute span with that other ridiculous thread. Nice job.

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
even though I've already ignored Profit, I must admit, this is hilarious, and is adding a dose of levity to an otherwise dreary day.

No it wasn't. ESPN confirmed that the Blazers were very active in making this happen.

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
I don't know--just because New Jersey has Harris now doesn't mean that's where he'll stay. Devin Harris strikes me as a nice complementary player to have on a good young team, but does he really have the upside to make a cornerstone? Is Harris/Carter/Jefferson any better than Kidd/Carter/Jefferson?
Imagine the Nets continue to flounder and they decide to have an all-out fire sale. I could actually see a Devin Harris/Vince Carter for Jack/Outlaw/Raef/Rodriguez/pick make some sense this summer.
I'm not at all excited to have Vince Carter on a 35 win team, but a 50 win (or better) team next year? Maybe. Just look at that lineup:
PG: Harris
SG: Roy
SF: Carter
PF: Aldridge
C: Oden
Bench: Fernandez, Frye, Blake, etc
Maybe I'm just in denial. I was really hoping a deal for Harris would pop up out of nowhere.

Just my opinion, but I really don't think Rudy plays here next season without Sergio. They are close friends, and I think it's a good bargaining chip to have.

Re: OT: Kidd trade heating up again
FYI - from espn.com
Quote:
Stackhouse said his agent told him the trade would be completed.
"Now I think it's pretty much a done deal," Stackhouse told The Associated Press.
The Nets are expected to buy out Stackhouse's contract immediately, which could enable him to re-sign with Dallas if he waits 30 days.
"I feel great. I get 30 days to rest, then I'll be right back," Stackhouse said. "I ain't going nowhere."
ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard reports that the Nets and the Mavs are likewise poised to complete a separate trade that will send swingman Antoine Wright to Dallas for a future second-round pick.
