The hypomanias are fine, but they can get you into trouble too. It had nothing to do with the money. I had (still have) a serious mental illness and the money didn't make a difference except to pay for the medical care. After two years of treatment, I finally got centered and I'm happy to say that I've been doing pretty great for a year now. And now, I'm LOVING the money but the point is, it didn't buy happiness when I was going through hell but I suppose it did buy the treatment.

No small thing, ZackAddy.
Actually, studies have shown that "money buys happiness" up to a point. A person with enough to cover his/her own and family's basic needs, a few luxuries (we all like to kick up our heels now and then) and a bit put by for security is more likely to be happy than a person living in economic uncertainty, and definitely more likely to be happy than a person who is extremely impoverished. But after the point of comfort additional wealth does not seem to result in additional happiness.
For myself, I never wanted to be rich but I spent 4 years at a company where I was paid about $20K below standard salary for my job and without benefits, as well as treated like crap. Not only am I being treated exponentially better where I now am, I have to admit I like the fact that I can buy fruit trees for my garden, a new pair of sneakers (I still wait for sales, habits die hard), a ballet ticket, premium chocolate for my cakes, All-Clad cookware, without having to worry if I will be able to make the rent as a result.
Of course this is "average". No doubt we can find exceptions.

I have a beautiful wife, 2 boys, and we are all healthy. All that's missing is $millions$ of dollars.

But here's the point-- if you're single and have no kids, money won't buy any of that stuff. Well, I guess it can. Nevermind.

I think what you mean is money didn't buy YOU happiness. Don't project your personal experience into some sort of true-to-all fact of life.
Saying money doesn't buy you happiness is wrong to begin with because that's not the point. You don't buy happiness. But wealth provides you with a higher quality of life 100% of the time and wealthy people are statistically happier more often than poor people.
Saying money doesn't buy you happiness is easy to say when you're wealthy and you still have to deal with problems. But that's so naive, because you don't have to worry about paying rent, feeding your children, buying diapers, buying medicine. But the fact is in most situations gaining wealth will improve your overall happiness.

Your point is pointless. Or are you seriously comparing Jarrett Jack to Steve Nash?

Please slow down. I didn't compare Jack to Nash. And don't attack me personally.
Keep in mind that some people are putting you on your ignore list. And others, as well as myself, may do the same in which case you will be typing on your oomputer for nothing cuz no one will be reading what you have to say.
