would give some truth to the 'World Champion' tag and considering how poorly the USA teams have done in the World Champs in recent years it could be a bit of an eye-opener. I think it'd be cool

I hink the NBA chammpion should play against he eruopean champion. it could be a 7 game series for example. as for the rule.. hat's th main trouble but perhaps when the teams play in Europe they can follow fiba's rules and back in the usa the can used the nba rules. OR, just use the fiba's rules since they are the one used in world cups and olympics.

The Eurpean-wide league that Stern is trying to beat to the punch would be a much better outcome for basketball in general.

Jet lag would seriously handicap the outcome for games, would change how gamblers figure the odds.

The EXTREME level of talent dilution alone would make me stop watching. Ha, Magloire, and Raef would be starting centers.

Stay up all night or DVR? Tell you what. Just compile my team's highlights for me all season, and if they win the Title I'll buy the 2 hr. video.

The Little General has said for years he intended to "accomplish" this idiotic pipe dream before he retired. One can only hope this means his time embarrassing the league is drawing to a close. One can also assume Stern is making HUGE side-money from certain governments, sponsors, networks...if he pulls this off.

With all the crevices, chasms and bottomless pits in the world, why hasn't he fallen into one yet?
