Cavs looking at Jack?
Quote:
|
According to media reports, the Portland Trail Blazers are shopping point guard Jarrett Jack, and the Memphis Grizzlies have taken offers for point guard Kyle Lowry. The Cavs have interest in both. A source said they have had long-term discussions involving Jack.

Not surprising, but what would be the trade?

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
Unless it's Lebron I can't think of a single guy off of that team that I'd want.

I see the author's name is Brian Windhorst. I'd swap him for Canzano straight up.

I might take a scrub and a 1st round pick.

If Jack was a headcase, or a disruption to the team then I could see that but, what are we going to do with another draft pick, especially a low first rounder which is what a cavs pick would be.
Jarret has to have more value than this to somebody ... (dear god please!)

Cavs have no first rounder until 2011.
How about Miles/Jack for Hughes?

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
The Cavs really have nothing to trade--bad situation (although they had enough to beat us).
You figure Lebron and Z are not touchable. I also figure Gibson has more value than his contract. The rest of the roster looks bad. They don't even have any good expiring contracts. Jack + anyone and their first might work, but then that is a 2-for-1 in the wrong direction for a team looking to reduce numbers (Portland).

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
I'd take Daniel Gibson, a draft pick, a trade exception, or future a future pick for the human turnover

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
I haven't looked at their contracts, but I'd take Varejao or Gibson for Jack in a heartbeat.

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
Pavolovic sure would look good in a Blazer uni.
He's not a great shooter, but he's very athletic and has a high bball IQ.
Would be a steal for the Blazers.

Re: Cavs looking at Jack?
I think Cleveland would be all over Jack. Gibson is off-limits though. I would think they would part with anyone else.
