Atlanta can now put out a pretty decent 5 in Bibby Johnson Smith Williams and Horford... I can't see them getting stops on a consistent basis, but they should score and make the playoffs.

We'll have to see how this plays it but it seems to me Atlanta got hosed. Bibby is a good but not great player and they gave up a lot for him. In some ways this reminds me of the Devin Harris rumor, where Portland would give up 3 productive players and maybe a pick for a good but not great player. The difference is that Harris is still young while Bibby's best days are definitely behind him. Atlanta should not be in win-now mode.

Hosed? The Hawks gave up a group of mediocre player who's only value was their expiring contracts. Bibby's contract only last one more year as well, so I think they came way ahead on this deal.

atlanta gave up nobody on their rotation. lue and johnson have been hurt pretty much all year. lorenzen wright just sucks (this should be his last year in the league). and williams.. well. he's a dukie playing in the nba.
