OT: A Trip Down All-Star Game Memory Lane
Laker, or not, this was still one of my all-time All-Star Game greatest memories. Magic won over many people that day:

Damn right - Magic won the sympathy vote, and in the process screwed Portland again. I didn't like him then and don't like him now.

Why the hate? It's called entertainment.

Clyde should have won the MVP!!!!!! Fun game though! I want the All-Star game in P-Town! Us, Memphis,Charlotte and Sac are the only teams not to host it if I'm not mistaken!

Charlotte had it in '91, though they were the Hornets at the time. Only reason we haven't had a game yet is because we don't have enough hotels close enough to the arena or something. I think that since we're getting some NCAA games in '09, that should help make us look like a good All-Star host.

I still have the tape. Clyde was in the lead for MVP and being the classy guy he is, he deliberately stepped back and let Magic take over so Magic would get MVP. Clyde showed he can be a gentleman, even to a Laker. And that's more valuable than an all star MVP.

Have you ever been to SLC? They don't have any more hotels then us even though they did host the olympics! I think the Commish is still stickin' it to us for the lottery thing.

Re: OT: A Trip Down All-Star Game Memory Lane
Clyde would've won it with that performance any other year, but Magic was deserving. I have no hate for the guy.
And it was classy that they just ended the game prematurely with like 15 secs still left on the clock when Magic hit the 3. Great NBA memory.
