What will it take for Brandon to get a call?
Seriously - even when the defender draws blood there's no whistle, yet Kevin Martin is able to get bailed out on fall-away jumpers. What more does he have to do? No other All-Star in this league gets as disrespected by the refs.

He has to get his head knocked off. We need Roy to get a tech once in awhile or something.

I don't think it's necessarily blaming the refs but just asking for an acceptable game to be called. If you allow the opponent to whack your star player in the mouth it could lead to frustration which could lead to someone getting seriously hurt out of frustration. Luckily Roy has his temper in check so that would never really happen. Also--if people on this board blame McMillan for not trying his best I think its fair to blame the refs. EVERYONE has to take accountability in this league and that includes the refs. Refs shouldn't get a free pass to blatantly ignore a player getting hit in the mouth. Coaches and players don't get a free pass to make a mistake so why should the referees?

If its that bad (I havn't been watching the Blazers recently), I think Roy should just shout out and get a tech for it. Despite all the "Jail-Blazers" and everything, getting a tech for arguing doesn't make you any worse a person, especially if its legitimate.. Especially when the team is playing poorly and the game isn't exactly on the line, go for it. And if you're gona get T'd up, make it loud (preferably at home).

Oh yea, that'd be the other option. When your team is playing poorly (eg. constant turnovers) and calls arnt going your way either, just explode on the court and get ejected. That would have similar effect..

There's a difference between getting ejected and getting a T...for instance you need two Ts to be ejected.

Yes, I know that.
I'm talking about getting ejected, that would be much more of a wake-up call than just getting a T.

Re: What will it take for Brandon to get a call?
I think a T would do the trick if the team's acting lackluster and asleep.

Maybe. Didn't work for us though
Riley/Wade/Haslem/Zo would get a tech foul and after maybe 20 seconds of "energy", the team would go back to playing no defence and turning the ball over every 2nd possession..
Anyway, I'm not arguing with you over this lol, just saying if Roy/Nate were to get a T or get ejected, I wouldn't hold it against them at all (unless its in a close game or over something stupid).

Re: What will it take for Brandon to get a call?
For those who seem to be confused, the more aggressive team will always get the calls.
Always.
I don't think there have been a lack of respect for Mr. Roy. His team just happened to be the less aggressive team tonight.

Re: What will it take for Brandon to get a call?
the home team, and the more agressive team will get calls more often. Also, superstars will get more calls (see Wade in the Playoffs 2 years ago).
I just can't wait to see Roy, Adldrige and Oden play together. Unstoppable, Blake is gonne be great at distributing it, but i like him as a backup, unless we can get someone like Iguodala.
Imagine getting Paul! Do you think, since we will have lots of free space and an amazing team with ROy, Adlridge, and Oden that he might come? Can you imagine that? In 5 years that might be one ofthe best teams ever, if all lived up to their potential.
Roy, 20, 6 and 6. Oden 18 and 14. Aldrdige 22 and 8. And Paul 18 and 11. Just awesomeness. All you need is a shooter like Webster, Jones, or Fernandez as your 5th starter, set up in a corner, and be prepared to jack up open 3s, lol.
Wishful thinkin' though. It is cool to think about, because it has a shot to happen. Paul and Roy are friends. Paul wil be a free agent. Portland will ahve cap space, an appealing team, and the perfect lineup set for Paul to come and dominate the NBA.
