Count me in. I was actually hoping that Green could get a chance - so we could see if he was able be a factor at the NBA level. Hope for him he gets that opportunity elsewhere. He seems like a nice kid.

Here is a Denver paper link on the trade.http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_8325783 Does look legit. Von Wafer has really lit up D-league and summer league the last few years. My hope is that Von Wafer will beat out Jack for the backup SG spot or at least cut into Jack's minutes (jack's play just drives me crazy).

Assuming this is true, it seems to signal the end of Jack perhaps (although we'd be left with just 2 PGs not named Roy pending a draft pick or another trade). Wonder what this means for Rudy, if anything.

How does this possibly mean the end of Jack? I think this was just to add another SG, since Roy is the only true sg on the team. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Wafer doesn't have Jack's experience level--yet. I think this trade (if it happens) is about trading one future prospect for a more useful one.

I like it because as much as I like Green as a person, I can't think of one time where he did anything significant in the few minutes he's had. He doesn't shoot well and doesn't seem to have much luck running a team without Noah on it.

I don't think this does anything to Jack's status. It just finally gives us a true SG off the bench. Webster and Jones are closer to 3's than 2s, and Jack is a PG/SG.

His ability to finish at the rim is intriguing. Outside of Greg Oden and maybe LMA, we don't have a whole lot of guys who can do that consistently.

Dude is borderline NBA talent, nothing to get excited about. Although, it could foreshadow the eventual end of Jarrett Jack.

Someone smarter than me pointed out that one reason we may have made this move is because Von Wafer's deal expires after this season and Green has 2 more years on his rookie deal. So this could clear up a roster spot next season for a guy like Rudy.

wasn't green a 2nd round pick that we could just waive? they have small contracts....i thought Wafer was a first round pick

I believe we had a team option for Green next year. This isn't a salary move for us, it is for SG depth this season. Denver will save a little bit in luxury tax but no real difference for us.
