Trade made: Green to Denver for Von Wafer
Anyone else hear this? Talk about a big move! Wasn't Green supposed to win 4-5 games for us this year?

It's a done deal.....cleaning up the PG position I guess. Not sure what the move really does for Portland, stay tuned.

If the Blazers actually win 4-5 more games this season, then by trading him it will be true.....sorta.

Hopefully they feel Nilla' (the obvious nickname) will be able to take minutes away from Jack.

I like it. Von Wafer a 6'5" SG who can really shoot the three. Von Wafer is still only 22 and during the draft last summer Denver felt he was late first round talent. So a we take a flier on a guy for the rest on the year so we can lower Jack time at SG.

His contract is small enough not to really matter. Similar to Green we could cut him if we wanted to.

Maybe that's the deal? They liked Green too much to just cut him, so they traded him so they could cut someone they don't know.

Nah, Von Wafer will probably play for us or at least give us some SG depth for the rest for the year. Pretty questionable if he'll be around after this season however.
