I definitely agree that Gordon isn't a point or even a combo guard, he's a shooting guard through and through. But to call him a chucker based on his last game is a little misleading.
On a per game basis for all 5 players:
Gordon: FGA-13.23, 3PA-6.53, FTA-8.63
Rose: FGA-10.48, 3PA-2.54, FTA-4.97
Mayo: FGA-16.23, 3PA-6.63, FTA-4.6
Westbrook: FGA-9.58, 3PA-1.74, FTA-3.8
Bayless: FGA-12.63, 3PA-5.07, FTA-7.6
And then on the season, their respective EFG%, TS%, and PPS:
Gordon: eFG%-53.4, TS%-63.1%, PPS-1.62
Rose: eFG%-50.7, TS%-55.6%, PPS-1.34
Mayo: eFG%-52.9, TS%-57.2%, PPS-1.29
Westbrook: eFG%-52.4, TS%-56.9%, PPS-1.33
Bayless: eFG%-55.1, TS%-63.4%, PPS-1.61
Gordon certainly puts up a lot of shots, and especially 3's, but he also attacks the basket more frequently than everyone else. The real 'chucker' of the 5 is Mayo, clearly leading in FGA per game and 3PA's but second to last in FTA, basically getting to the line half as much as Gordon.
eFG% compensates for 3 pointers being worth more than normal field goals. You can see that despite Westbrooks lead in normal FG%, his lack of a solid 3 point range makes his shot's worth less. Whereas a player like Bayless, who has a solid 3 game and good overall percentage definitely takes good shots. And Gordon's love of the 3 ball doesn't hurt his eFG% that much, because of the added worth shooting something like 40% from 3 point land is the scoring equivalent of shooting 60% in 2 pointers. And Mayo's 3 point shooting, with a high percentage and lots of attempts helps raise his otherwise suspect FG% back up to respectable levels.
TS% then takes into account a players FT% as well as 3PT%, and that's where players like Bayless and Gordon separate from the pack as far as offensive efficiency goes, being able to hit shots but also get to the line and hit +80% on their free throws. Rose and Westbrook suffer from not hitting at a high percentage (although westbrook made a nice leap from 51.6 TS% his freshman year). And Mayo suffers from taking a disproportionate amount FGA to his FTA.
Then the same principle as TS% basically applies to PPS (points per shot), where Bayless and Gordon getting to the line and hitting at good percentages from everywhere helps their numbers. Westbrook and Rose suffer from poor 3pt shooting and FT%, and Mayo is hurt by just not getting to the line while taking a lot of bad shots from the field.
