Thank god we passed on Paul and DWilliams. They would be too busy leading their teams to the playoffs to worry about cheering from the bench on crunch time.

We held onto Martell "Enron Stock" Webster too long. Good luck on getting more than a 2nd round pick for him at this point.

I like Martell and all, and think he's got good skills, but I don't see what your point is?

What I wouldn't give for one more god damn'ed player who actually plays all 4 quarters. The Blazers got exactly what they deserved tonight, you get down by 20 you deserve to get your teeth kicked in.

Re: Suns @ Blazers Game Thread

LMA's stat line looks pretty atrocious, and some of those hooks looked a little shaky, but at least he was down in the post missing his shots the right way ... it may be ugly for awhile longer yet, but he's going to really refine that shot and his moves down low sooner rather than later.

As for the craptacular calls, meh. if we could have hit just a couple more threes, or managed to hit just a few of our wide open shots so it wasn't a matter of fighting from 23 down we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

These are the kinds of games that make me go away from my position of keeping him for the long haul. Hell, you can't even call him "Brickster" if he doesn't even attempt a shot! ugh.

If we draft Paul or Williams, there's a chance we don't get the chance to draft Aldridge, Roy or Oden.

Re: Suns @ Blazers Game Thread

Are you surprised Addy? They had no Blazer highlights when we beat the lakers on Friday. I mean seriously, no clips with Blake hitting 5 3's that night? Come on, its ESPN, what else would we expect. ESPN video editors are biased and they suck.

But yes, LA being 3-15 from the line. Ugh. What happened to our 3pt %. That sure went into the crapshoot. Well at least we only lost by 5 and not by 15.

Re: Suns @ Blazers Game Thread

We played bad. We fought back. We got screwed by the refs. Story of the game. Thank God for the season ticket Q&A afterwards and Travis being there! Oh yea, Stern was there and totally dodged Webster's Dictionary's question about the charge on James Jones. He said it was a good call as Jones "flinched"...BS...I overheard that Larry Miller and the Blazers have a meeting set up with the league to talk about the officiating or lack there of,which is a good start (how many goaltends did Shaq have and phx got so many touch calls..the last minute of officiating was horrendous...oh yea nash travels A LOT and has really regressed..this is their last chance..reminds me a lot of the old sacto kings)

Lakers are having their own slump with Fisher right now....Im sure you know..Live by the three, die by the three. Its hard for ANY team to be good with relying on constant outside shooting

Yep. Fish was 0-6 against us. That's why we were able to win that game.

Re: Suns @ Blazers Game Thread

Ya, you see, if the defender blinks just before the offensive player mows him over, that tottally negates the charge and turns it into a defensive foul.

I"m sure Larry Miller is going to get a lot of sympathy from David Stern. The NBA needs to put in an instant replay system, and they should create a "bonus pool" for all NBA refs, and take away money for really bad calls.
