Well I think this very well may happen, but the Blazers would still be up against every other NBA franchise that wanted Ford. I think a lot of teams would be willing to take a risk. So I think he would come cheaper than if healthy, but still not cheap.

I would almost rather go all out and roll the dice to trade up using alot of assests than get Ford though. He isnt exactly ideal. He dominates the ball a bit too much and since we use Roy as the half court playmaker, Ford would be forced to move w/o the ball(Something he isnt that good at or comfterable doing).
We need a guy like Derek Fisher. Look at the LAL backcourt. They have complimentary guys(Fisher, Farmar) at PG who play tenacious D, can hit the 3 and move extremley well w/o the ball. This is because, like Roy, Kobe instigates the half court offense most of the time. We need a player in that mold more than a traditional PF like TJ.
I would offer Martell Webster, Channing Frye, Jarrett Jack, our 2008 1st round pick and our highest 2008 2nd round pick for Eric Gordon, Jerryd Bayless or OJ Mayo.

Regarding Outlaw - I thought about it and would not trade Outlaw. If Ford was completely health, that would be one thing, but I would not risk trading Outlaw now.
I posted this thread to hear what people thought, but I am not even convinced that I would do the trade I proposed with Joel/Jack/Pick. I like Ford a lot, but am not too sure he would be a good pairing with Roy. I think the key to baking a good cake is the right ingredients. Would Ford be like adding Bacon into a cheesecake? I like Bacon a lot, but not so much in cheesecake.
TJ Ford anyone?
