Players to look at during the off season
One guy I want the Blazers to look at in the off season, and I believe he will be a free agent since he only signed a 1 year deal, is Carl Landry from Houston. He reminds me a lot of David West from New Orleans. I don't know if any of you have seen him play, but he is pretty much all you can ask for in a power forward except for the height, he is more old school at 6'9".

Re: Players to look at during the off season
^he would be a good backup to LMA. Let Outlaw play backup SF, his natural position, and get Frye out of here and give Landry that back up spot, i think it would be good.
I like him, huge upside.

Re: Players to look at during the off season
Yea I have got to see a lot of Houston games lately, and they are playing really well, so I don't know if that plays into it, but this kid impressed me. Then when I was looking him up most of the articles showed he only signed a 1 year deal. If I was KP I would look at him real hard, even if we had to cut a player to get him.

Re: Players to look at during the off season
Portland really needs to focus only on finding a quality starting PG and SF

Interesting list, although some players on it I could care less about. What I am wondering is how all those guys are going to get contracts, the money tends to dry up real quick in the NBA free agent season, and I know a lot of those guys think they are getting max deals, but they aren't. In fact if I was to take a guess, none of those players are worth max deals. Most are second tier players. Good, but not the best. IMO max contract should only go to the top tier players. Some teams always make the mistake though (Like Orlando last year) out of desperation.

Of these, I would love for Portland to get their hands on Marion or Granger, with Pietrus as a nice consolation prize. All three of those guys would start and provide far more from the SF position then we are currently getting. Fred Jones would be good from a community stand point, but I am not sure how many minutes he would get. Harris and Ellis would be a nice compliment to Roy. I don't think Gibson would work out, frankly. Though he is ok, having Iguodala at SF with Roy at SG makes for too small a team. Deng is struggling with injuries right now, and we have enough to worry about on that front already.
Oh, and you missed Agent Zero.

He's a third option behind Rudy and Roy after we trade away Martell and Jarrett on draft day.

Re: Players to look at during the off season
FOr this off season, i like:
SF:
Marion
Iguodala
Smith
PG:
Conley
Harris
Ellis
Barbosa
Draft:
Rose
Bayless
Westbrook
If we can end up with 1-2 of those, i will be happy as a clam!

Re: Players to look at during the off season
Some of these players I would pay a lot for, others just a little, but I would at least take a close look at the following players.
Josh Childress - R
Josh Smith - R
Deng - R
Ben Gordon - R
Daniel Gibson - R
JJ Barea - R
Tyronn Lue - UR
J.R. Smith- R
Walter Herrmann - R
Baron Davis - UR (has Early Trade Option and I don't know what that means)
Mickael Perrus - UR
Carl Landry - R
Kareem Rush - UR
Corey Maggette - UR
Carlos Arroyo - UR
Louis Williams - UR
Abdre Ugyidaka - UR

Re: Players to look at during the off season
Man, i wonder how Barbosa would fit. The guy is a pimp, no doubt. You think he would work next to Roy?
I love imagining some of these PGs next to Roy, thowing lobs to Oden and Aldridge, and actually getting us some fast break points, like Barbosa, Harris and Ellis would do, which would be sexy!
