Unfortunately the Beavers simply need help everywhere. They don't have the talent to compete, which is obvious if you look at their lineup. I'm not sure if it was for "senior" week, but they started walk-on Joey McConnell for the last few games (which you wouldn't think they'd do if they were serious about winning at least one game). No offense to Joey, as I know him and he's a good guy, but he just isn't a D1 talent...or rather, is a D1 talent for the type of team that goes 0-18.

Pretty frustrating, as they had a good run with David Lucas, Nick DeWitz, and Lamar Hurd (aka the poor man's Jason Kidd). They need a new coach and a new culture (though Mouton has helped). I guess there is a lot of locker room problems presently (from my inside sources).

Bone would be wise to stick with PSU. They will be nasty next year with UW transfer Phil Nelson along with Dominguez.

Why can't all major conference D1 coaches be paid the same to even out the competition and guarantee parity? Having the same amount of scholarships as USC and UCLA is irrelevant when they just buy a new coach every time their record dips below .500!

That is exactly right. College basketball is all about the coach. Ralph Miller's reputation brought them in from all over. The facilities are huge in football, but no so much in BB. They could turn it around it they got someone like Montgomery. It only takes about three excellent recruits. As a Duck fan I take no pleasure in seeing them THIS bad. They are so pathetic I can't even rib my beaver friends about it.
