and very, very good when playing backup SG
|
no, just no. He is and average defender, and a below average shooter. He can get to the line, but he also turns it over on the way too much.
He will probably be a good backup combo guard eventually.

I said backup, not starter. Your post makes it seem that you have to be capable of starting to be a good backup. If he corrected what you listed he'd be considered a very, very good STARTING guard and it would be stupid to play him as a backup.
Backups are backups for a reason.

Re: OT: Monta Ellis
He is not a good bakcup. He turns it over too much, can't shoot, and is an average defender.

Please list all the backup SG's that are better than him. It will have to be a fairly big list to prove your point.

Re: OT: Monta Ellis
^why would i waste my time to make a list for you?
Its a known fact that unless he has the ball in his hands, he isn't effective, because he can't shoot. He isn't a great defender. He can't control games because he lacks PG skills, even though he is 6'4. So you are telling me that he is a very very good backup because he drives and gets to the line?
he is getting 9ppg, 3rpg, and 4 apg, while almost turning it over 3 times per game. If that makes him a very very good backup SG, then is Outlaw and all star?
I guess him being 1-13 last 2 games probably didn't help his stats.

I assumed you were interested in intelligent discourse. Silly me.

Oh I see, you just don't know the definition of fact. Here you go:
"A fact is defined as something that is the case, something that actually exists, or something that can be verified according to an established standard of evaluation."

It's weird because I could have sworn that often times when he and Roy are in the game at the same time Jack handles the ball and brings it up the floor like a PG. Also, he attempts to drive and kick, though he pretty well sucks at that. I say he splits time between sucking at both PG and SG.
