Re: Just how much do you dislike Jack?
The problem with Jarrett is that he has the ability to play like this every game:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kNrpNF1rVVQ&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kNrpNF1rVVQ&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
But for some reason he has a mental block, like he overthinks things or something. And that kills him.

Re: Just how much do you dislike Jack?
If noone wanted him, and we didn't involve him in a trade, i'd keep him for 1 more year. If we get our PG, maybe Jack would be a good teacher, he has great work ethic and high bball IQ. He could teach our Westbrook or Hudson or someone like that.
By the way, what do you guys think of Nic Wise? i love him!

He does have fire...both to be positive and negative. He does not bring anything that we can not find on a more consistent basis. Nate will continue to play him at all cost if he is here.I would eagerly point to several exits! LET HIM WALK!

Re: Just how much do you dislike Jack?
I appreciate everyone playing along because as it was quickly pointed out, I'm wrong about the contract situation. I've made this mistake before (with Travis) and someday I'll get it pounded into my head that a rookie contract goes for four years.
For what it is worth, the reason I left out the trade senario is because I figure 99% of the board would be for trading Jack, if that was an option . . . so I was wondering if they couldn't trade him, then what?
But I'll address the issue next year. For better or for worse, if the Blazers can't trade Jack, he will be here next year.

Re: Just how much do you dislike Jack?
Jack, in terms of skill, is actually pretty good. He can get to the rim, he can shoot perimeter shots, and he can make free throws. It's not that he's a bad player, he's just a stupid player. His poor decision making, and relative inconsistency just kills the guy. I think we've seen him play long enough to know that he isn't going to change the way he plays. At this point, it's best to just package the guy and trade him off to some other team who sees value in him.
I don't value Jack, and I want him gone.
