Oh well, we're winning cause of him.
And he'll get less rebounds next year when Oden is playing. As Rice said Aldridge will be getting out on the fast break which is fine by me.

Re: Game Thread: Timberwolves @ Blazers (3-15-08)

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT FROM JACK.

He didn't do anything special, he hardly scored.

He played under control, set people up, and played smart. That is all we ask.

And i wasn't impressed with Sergio. IDK, his defense, and shooting are just not good enough to make playing him over lets say Jack or Roy worth it. I like him to get 10 mins a game, but idk if i'd want more. But of course i'm still up for giving him playing time the rest of the year. 20 mins a game or so.

Minnesota is playing well. They have a good future, with a high pick comin' in. I like their team.

And again, ALDRIDGE IS AMAZING. i still can't believe sonny hates him, and i can't believe ppl didn't consider him an untouchable.

Everytime they play well, its like i don't want us to really mess with this team. I don't wanna see a 3-4 player trade for a vet SF, i think we are fine with Outlaw off the bench, and Jones. We got Rudy comin' for more depth, we have Oden to sure up our inside, and if we can just adress our pg through the draft, i would love that.

Anyway, i figured out why Aldridge doesn't get 9+ rpg. He always leaks out in transition. I've realized that when the shot is up, and Joel is in or sometimes if he is not, he just peace's out down the court for transition, which i LOVE since we are a horrid fast break team, and lookin' like a great fast break team tonight. We need to improve our fast break for next year, but i cannot wait.

And i do think we will make the playoffs next year. And i'm hopin' for 42 wins THIS (not next sorry) year! woohoo.

long post, i kno. Just some observations.

Havn't been watching most of the game closely, why is it still a 1 point game? Minnesota playing great, or lack of Blazer defence?
I've never seen minnesota play better. They are shooting lights out, playing well. And not much defense by either team. I'm actually pretty disspointed with our defense, but our rebounding is pretty good, imo. We are double teaming Jefferson, which is stupid as hell, since he isn't doin' a lot, and usually doesn't vs. Aldridge, cuz LMA is a real good defender, and they are shooting lights out, they just swing it and get open shots. Hopefully Nate will correct that.

edit - again, Outlaw is frustrating me. His tunnel vision is just beyong amazing. I have seen him pass a bit more, i think he has passed twice when he got the ball on offense, which is really good, but seriously... if he could just learn to play his game within our team offense, and contribute in other ways than just his scoring, he would be SO good, and starter material. But as is, i don't see him ever starting on this team, even though he has all the talent in the world.

He's leaking out on fast breaks more than usual. Since Joel is handling the boards, and our PGs are finding him, I don't mind taking advantage of Aldridge's superior speed.

Which is why I feel Martell will eventually be a better play.

^i agree. BUT, and this is a big BUT, even though i think Webster will eventually be a better player for our team, IF Outlaw can change his style. Play within our offense and contribute in more ways then just touching the ball, taking one dribble and shooting, he can turn into a very valuable piece of our future (not that he isn't, but a bigger piece, imo).

He has made huge leaps last off season. I have all the confidence in him that he will continue to grow, but hopefully like IQ wise this time.

I've always liked Outlaw, but I havn't seen him take strides to change his game. Much like how Jack hasn't changed yet. Either way, Outlaw is a valuable player.

We are playing a little better on D and their outside shots aren't dropping like they were.

Realy impress with Aldridge. And of course Roy is being Roy.

Just got home to see us up ten and Frye blocking shots left and right.

...and back to back turnovers.
