08 2nd Rounder Option??
Lester Hudson
He is supposed to fall tot he 2nd round this year and is similar to Rodney Stuckey...dominated ina small league and is combo guard...averaged 26 points...8 rebounds..4 assists and 3 steals a game...shot 46% from the field...39% from the 3 and 83% from the line
he dropped 35 and 10 on memphis and 36 and 9 on vandy
out of the 3 mock drafts i look at 2 say we pick him up in the 2nd round

Re: 08 2nd Rounder Option??
We have a few early 2nd round picks with some potential steals if players like Hudson or Hendrix drop out of the first round.

Re: 08 2nd Rounder Option??
Hudson would be interesting, but who are you going to cut?
We have fourteen with McBob and Wafer. We will add Rudy (15) and then we have the 13th pick (16), which means that Wafer or McBob are already gone. I'm assuming wafer is the loser here. If you want Hudson for more than a summer league look, then I think you have to cut McBob, which might not be popular with you new center.
Unless Hudson really looks solid (is so, then why is he a second rounder), then I think you draft and stash Euros, unless you can pull a roster reduction trade (move up in the draft--my favorite option).

I don't have a problem cutting Wafer and McBob, but the problem is deeper even
deeper than you're mentioning - we have 3 2nd-round picks. I'm thinking
trade one for future 2nd rounder
trade one for euro-player who won't come over
draft Hudson.

Unless there is someone that KP really likes, I hope we trade the picks or take a Euro who isnt NBA bound yet.

Re: 08 2nd Rounder Option??
He doesn't fit with us but I think Courtney Lee has a chance to be an adequate player.

Re: 08 2nd Rounder Option??
I really like Lester. He is a very nice combo guard who could potentially become a perfect fit next to Roy. I like the fact he gets so many steals, as we can let our PG gamble a bit more b/c of our twin towers.
I think we use one of the high 2nd rounders for a guy to bring on the roster next season and the other one on a Euro(I like that big *** Australian kid).

Re: 08 2nd Rounder Option??
I don't think we end up using our 2nd rounders on someone who would be on the team, but if we did...
I liek Mario Chalmers and Lester Hudson, or maybe a Joey Dorsey type, if any of those are still around in the 2nd.
