Re: I have a "What if" question for Portland Fans
I'd take Baron Davis, and others might disagree, but I'd strongly consider trading Steve Blake instead of Jarrett Jack. I know, JJ has been a turnover machine at times, but I see Jack as having a lot in common with Davis' game - they're both very strong for their size (Davis, even stronger), they're both willing to take big shots, they both can play good defense when they commit to it - but maybe Davis could show Jack where his team needs to improve. I don't know that Jack will ever be as good a PG as Baron Davis (doubtful), but I think he could be a whole lot better under the right tutelage. Davis might offer that. Not to mention, Davis would immediately turn the Blazers from a borderline playoff team, to a near-lock for the postseason.

The injury history for both Gilbert and Baron concern me. I'd take a shorter stint with Nash.

Re: I have a "What if" question for Portland Fans
If all three were the same age, I would go with Nash, but I think that with age consideration I would go with Davis. I know he is only 3 years younger, but thats an important 3 years. GA I just don't think would be a good match for this team although I do like him. But Davis would be a real strong player next to Roy, could add scoring and not give up anything on the defensive end. Also, he plays well with or without the ball in his hands and has a personality that I think would mesh well with the current Blazer squad.

Re: I have a "What if" question for Portland Fans
You have to take Nash. He has had the ability to bring the best out of players and mask their weaknesses. By the time he hits the end of the road, it will be Roy, Lama and Oden's times to shine. He would give us that veteran leadership that the other two candidates do not. Plus we do not need another blogger on the team (Arenas).

Re: I have a "What if" question for Portland Fans
If we could get any PG in the league for the same players in trade and the same salary, I'd go with Harris, due to his age. Of these choices, I'd go with Nash, despite his age.

Gilbert. We could use someone who likes to shoot all the time.

Re: I have a "What if" question for Portland Fans
nash is hands down the best PG in that list, the other two are essentially combo guards with a tendency to focus on scoring.
even though nash has a shorter window, considering the way he plays and reads the game i think he can play for quite a few years yet. so yeah, i picked nash
