Re: Did anyone else lose a bit of respect for...
I saw the thread title and I thought it'd be about Jason Kidd's cheap shot on Sunday.
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hD7oMY2qeho&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hD7oMY2qeho&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I'm amazed there isn't a lot more talk about suspending Kidd for a game. if Pargo doesn't get his hands down in time, he's got himself a seriously smashed face.
I know there are those who didn't have a lot of respect for Kidd anyway because of his past domestic violence issues, but I always respected his competitive nature. this foul was just blatantly malicious.

Wow...That's pretty Narrow of thought. Bo is one of my Favorite Athletes, but he wasn't the best athlete ever. Jim Thorpe is IMO ahead of Bo.
Sure he was a 2 sport athlete, but how about this...Dave Winfield.
Drafted by
San Diego Padres (MLB)
Atlanta Hawks (NBA)
Utah Stars (ABA)
Minnesota Vikings (NFL)
One of only 2 Athletes to ever be Drafted in all 3 Major US Sports.

mook, yea, i couldn't believe when Kidd did that. He just doesn't strike me as that kind of player.
IDK if i lost respect for him, but meh. I don't think he should have been ejected. IMO, he was trying to foul hard, but one of his hands was goin' for the ball. I don't think he meant to drag him down by the neck, but he did, and it should have been a flagrant.

Re: Did anyone else lose a bit of respect for...
bo jackson was amazing. let me know when someone else hits a home run in the all star game, and scores a touchdown in the pro bowl.
but if we are talking about my personal favorites , i think it would have to be...
ronaldo
clyde the glide
sabonis
will clark
and
joe montana
in no particular order.

when I think of athlete I think of multiple sports thats what Bo Jackson did and he was good at it. So did Deion sanders but not as good as Bo. Not to take anything away from the guys that you mentioned but they didn't play multiple sports. Well Jordan tryed and he wasen't good at baseball.
