Re: Your expectations regarding Roy?
I would like him to get up to around .38% from 3. He seems to always make them when they really matter, but if he can consistently drain a few 3's in the 1-3 quarters, we could have put a few teams away and have 2-3 more wins, IMO.

I agree, that is the role I see him taking in the future, and that role is perfectly fine with me. I even see him doing it as the sixth man as the aches and pains pile up over the years.

Re: Your expectations regarding Roy?
Hi, Blazer fans. I strayed over from the Spurs board because I think Portland is THE upcoming team. IF Oden is as good as anticipated, you guys will be in the thick of the championship race. I agree with a couple of other commentators: 1) Don't think of Brandon Roy as MJ, but as Scottie Pippen. IF the Blazers get a good, true PG, Roy will be an awesome swingman between 2 & 3. It is very important to be able to play small ball today; Roy is an unbelievable 3 on those occasions. Also, you don't want his minutes to go up. You want his minutes to stay the same - or even drop to the 35 mpg range. Sure he's young, but you want to spread minutes as much as you can to develop a strong bench and to preserve guys for the playoffs. I think his stats probably will stay about the same - which would be outstanding, especially if he plays a minute or two less per game. The Blazers will have too many weapons for one player to have really great individual stats. And that would be ideal. The more offensive options a team has, the more difficult it is to defend. I don't know whether you could get Devin Harris, but he would be the guy I'd want. As a Spurs fan, I feared him when he was in Dallas. Dallas really blew it by trading him - one of the worst deals in recent NBA history. Good luck next year, Blazers!

18.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 6.9 apg, 1.2 spg, .6 bpg, 2.3 topg, FG% = 46%, 3-Pt FG% = 36%, FT = 82%
All estimates will be within +/- 10.

Re: Your expectations regarding Roy?
Well I think Roy has got to take his game to the next level. I know no one here really likes Kobe but I would really like to see Roy become more aggressive like Kobe. I want to see Roy become an assassin. Maybe thats why I don't like Kobe yet I enjoy watching him play basketball.

Welcome to the board! I agree with you, except for the part about the Dallas trade. I'm pretty sure the Suns/Heat trade was worse.
