Make this OT: because Kobe has nothing to do with the Blazers
May we have some sort of rule banning all Laker avatars please? I get sick and tired of looking at them.

How does a discussion about the MVP award have nothing to do with the Blazers?

Re: Mvp Kobe!
Congrats to Kobe and the Laker "fans", Live it up now, cause the Blazers are going to squash every aspiration you have over the next decade.

The anal rapist is not nor has he ever been even close to deserving this honor.
A pathetic PR move that sullies the already embarrassing record of the NBA's pandering to profits at the expense of common decency.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
^please tell me this is a joke..If you want to argue that it should have gone to someone else this year, fine, but never?!? Please...Its one thing to hate a team but that comment is bogus.
While I don't defend Kobe on his life decisions he did not rape anybody, he cheated on his wife, both really lame but big difference.

That's what you choose to believe. The Colorado D.A. obviously knew a little bit more than you, but Kobe outspent them, and his victim turned out to be a complete idiot. That does not absolve him of guilt, however.

Didn't Tobias Funke invent that? The combined Analyst and Therapist? And he had to study for years to qualify.

it's pretty hard to argue that lebron was better at making the people around him better this season. the players around kobe, while more talented offensively overall, were still miles more efficient overall than the players around lebron. lebron was the most dominant individual player.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
Sometimes I wish more people on here were BASKETBALL fans instead of BLAZER fans! It's like when they show a replay of a foul on one of the Blazers up on the big screen, and everybody BOOOOOOs! even though it was an obvious foul! I don't care who a player plays for, if he has game, I'll give him props! (For you old white people out in the suburbs...HAP, that means respect!) Just because he plays for the Lakers, come on! It is very close, but i believe Kobe is the best player in the game. Had LaBron won it, I don't think I could argue with that either. Let's open our eyes up a little bit more, and give players the proper credit they deserve.
O.K......here it comes......"How can you call yourself a Blazer fan and like Kobe....BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!"

I'm a Blazer fan first and a basketball fan second. Excuse me if that doesn't pass your muster. I suppose it's a matter of: no one pays us for the pleasure of rooting for the team, we are the ones that have to fork over the dough to pay the players and the staff (including you, to a small degree, am I correct?)

I root for the team as if I had a jersey on and I was playing on the floor. I suppose that makes me a little unbiased as to the outcome of the game, but guess what? If you aren't, then why root for a team in the first place? Your attitude sounds and smells kinda like a bandwaggoner Laker fans' attitude.

Props for ability on a basketball court does not override being a complete douchebag off the court. And yes, the "JailBlazers" era soured my enthusiasm for the Blazers themselves, but I tried to do something about it, via the Fan Advisory Board, which was a complete waste of time. You better believe that among my suggestions to Patter/Nash was getting rid of the idiots.

LeBron is a class act who actually appreciates the effort of the players around him that obviously don't have the talent and skills that he has. He doesn't ***** and whine to management and the media about players on his team not stepping up. Also, I doubt LeBron has raped anyone.

I hate Kobe with every ounce of my being, but I still think he's as deserving of the MVP this year as anyone.

I aint gonna hate, Kobe deserved it and he got it. Chris Paul was so close though that if next season was exactly like this season I would say its Pauls turn.

17.6 ppg & 12.6 apg is not dismal. Period. And like I said, if the Hornets win that game, they have a better record than the Lakers.
Learn the game. Then post.
