Re: Mvp Kobe!
To be honest I think the thing that might have put him over the top is that the Lakers should be really really good next year besides him. This was his last chance to win it IMO and it would be pathetic if he never had won one

Re: Mvp Kobe!
I don't care how good he is. As a Blazer fan I don't like Kobe or the Lakers and wont ever be happy for them. I'm sorry, I am bitter.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
It all came down to that Lakers-Hornets game at the end of the season. The winner of that game dictated who would win the MVP this year. If the Hornets had won that game, Paul would've won. Point blank.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
I would disagree and say the Lakers going 4-0 in there last games with two against SA and NO to take the top spot in the West. That and NO finishing 2-4 and Paul having a dismal April while Kobe was going off for all of it.

Dismal April? HUH???
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/chris_...ame_stats.html
Paul averaged 17.6 ppg, 12.6 apg, & 2.8 spg in April. He also had a triple double in a win over Golden State. His team went 6-4. As I said, if the Hornets win that game against the Lakers, New Orleans finishes 57-25 and the Lakers finish 56-26 and Paul would've won MVP.
As for Kobe "going off," he averaged 26.1 ppg, 5.5 apg, & 1.5 spg. Hardly "going off."
Anyway... the point is that the Lakers DID win that game and Kobe DID win the MVP Award and he deserved it. But I'm here to tell you that if New Orleans won that game, Paul would've won MVP. Period.
Learn the game. Then post.

Dude how about you listen to yourself. How about you notice his avgs were down for that month. Notice his shooting % was less. Then notice how Kobe shot better from the 3PT LINE than Paul did from the field. Then notice how Kobe won the tiebreaker from NO and the Spurs, ya know, the defending champs. Then notice the TEAM results.
I would get banned right now if I really told you what I thought about your little smart *** comment.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
Nice to see that the NBA gives rapists their highest individual honor. No wonder the league's popularity has sunk.

Make this OT: because Kobe has nothing to do with the Blazers
May we have some sort of rule banning all Laker avatars please? I get sick and tired of looking at them.

Re: Mvp Kobe!
MVP is sometimes the 'most outstanding individul player'. Kobe certainly is the best individual player in the league... but basketball is a team sport. As we have proven in the Olympics... the team with the best individual players doesn't always win. Kobe doesn't seem to me to be as good as Lebron at making people around him better. He also has so much talent I think sometimes he just jumps over people or trys to spin around them instead of actually trying to get open.
