We're gonna be great
Watching these playoffs, I can so easily imagine Roy, Aldridge, and Oden dominating. It's gonna be really really awesome to watch us play every May and June. I think 5-6 championships is not out of the question.

Re: We're gonne be great
I too am excited. But, I am not going to trick myself into believing we will win it all next year, or almost every year. There are just too many variables. I think next year we win 52 games and hopefully win at least one round of the playoffs. That would be sweet sweet victory for me. After that, its all about the bling.

You got that right. Get the popcorn going and enjoy the next 10 to 15 years!

+1
One step at a time for me. Winning season, making it past the first round, making the finals, winning a championship. You have to get one before you get 5-6.

Re: We're gonne be great
I just want to see one championship before I even start to think about 2 or more.

Re: We're gonne be great
If KP is PATIENT !! This could be a special run. I'm worried he is gonna give up to much to get a PG, when if he waits another year and sticks with his plan he can go into the free agent market 09 and have more flexibility.
Blake is fine for now. He is and will never be a superstar but he is fine for now.
I'm starting to warm to the idea of Andre Miller next year. In my dream world we draft Westbrook, keep Blake and then sign Miller next year.
Watching CP3 now more then ever makes me feel we need a lockdown perimeter defender. I'd give up TO and JJ for a chance at Westbrook. I think we have to target # 6 Clippers to move up and grab him. Milwaukie with Skiles will snatch him @ # 7. The Clippers want Mayo but i think NY takes him at # 5.

Re: We're gonne be great
I can't wait to see this team in the Playoffs. People will finally get to see how good Brandon Roy really is.

It is hard for me to enjoy the show... mainly because Bones is so freaky looking. Her head looks like a neanderthal!!! Look I found her bones
Other then that... the show is not bad.

I just wonder what you guys will think if Greg Oden has a Patrick Ewing-like career... I'm an Ohio State alum and a huge Oden fan, but these expectations are a bit nutty. 5-6 championships is Michael Jordan talk.

Re: We're gonne be great
I like reading the Chinese version of show titles, just looking at your avatar. Instead of calling it "Gutou" which means "bone", they made a chengyu (four character phrase) "Shi Gu Zhuizong" which (throwing in some help words) basically means "one (or those) who knows bones and follows a trail" or "knowing bones to follow a trail". Sometimes Chinese is just simpler at getting the meaning across...
...well, if you know it.

Zack is a loon when it comes to basketball. Anything he says is pretty much the most outrageous hyperbole you'll see here.
With NO, Orlando, Atlanta, and Portland all up-and-coming, there's going to be plenty of fighting to get a championship each year. I personally think Portland versus NO will be epic each time it happens in the playoffs, but they might be the gatekeepers to the finals much like the Lakers were in the early 90's.
