Conference Finals
It's crazy. After all the talk about the competitive West, all the talk about Chris Paul, Kobe, Lakers/Celtics.... After all of that, the conference finals are going to be exactly the same as last year. Cleveland vs Detroit. Utah vs San Antonio.
Go figure.

Re: Conference Finals
hahaha you do realize the West series are tied 2-2, right? And that the Boston-Cleveland series is 2-2, as well, right?

I wish the Boston-Cleveland series was 2-2. It's actually 2-1. As for the the West series, with the Spurs' experience and Kobe's bad back, doesn't a Utah-SA final seem predestined at this point? Did you see Kobe at the end of the game today? He couldn't move. He was missing layups.

Re: Conference Finals
No it doesn't, not at all. The series doesn't start until the home team loses a game.

I know people like to say that but actually, if the hometeam loses game 7, the series is over so I've never understood that saying.

Hence they lost on their homecourt...

My bad on the Boston series. I was out of town all weekend and didn't realize that it was only 2-1. Even so, it speaks to my point -- Boston is still up on Cleveland, so to say the Cavs will come back and go 3-1 against a team that won 60+ this season is a bit ... premature.
But I don't think anything seems predestined at this point. The Lakers still have home court advantage, and Kobe's facing back spasms. I'm not sure how those usually shake out, but if anyone can and will man up, it'll be Bryant.
And New Orleans still has home court in their series, too. The Spurs took back control at home, but until they win on the road ...

The series doesn't start until someone loses at home.
In this case, the series is over once the team loses at home.

Re: Conference Finals
I think you're jumping the gun just a bit.
Let's at least wait until at least one of the teams you mentioned above advances.
